Despite the accident being widely known, the actor continues to deal with inquiries regarding rumors about plastic surgery.
Prior to the premiere of his AppleTV film The Greatest Beer Run Ever in 2022, Efron had an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
The reporter asked him about the plastic surgery rumors: “What are your thoughts on the online speculation?”
Efron responded that he doesn't usually read the internet. He then mentioned that his 2013 accident was funny, terrible, and almost killed him.
Efron's jaw appears wider now because he mentioned that his facial muscles had to work extra hard to make up for his injury.
In 2022, he was still receiving physical therapy to attempt to fix this issue.
During the filming of the second season of Down to Earth with Zac Efron in Australia, he mentioned to Men's Health that he had to take a break from therapy. He noticed that his masseters had grown significantly and he is now undergoing physical therapy to address this issue.
The masseter muscles are two muscles in the jaw that help with chewing. They can be found on both sides of your face.
Despite Efron's noticeable change in appearance, I believe we can all concur that the actor is still quite attractive.
