Saudi Arabia's Neom city's “The Line Project” is now resembling more of a dot.
According to a report from Bloomberg, the Neom linear city project in Saudi Arabia is now being reduced to 2.4 kilometers and will have fewer than 30,000 residents, a significant decrease from the initial plan of 170 kilometers and 1.5 million residents. This decision is reportedly due to financial constraints faced by Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman's 2030 vision. The scaling down of the project comes as the kingdom's sovereign wealth fund has yet to approve Neom's budget for 2024, raising concerns about the financial feasibility of the ambitious Vision 2030 program.
