She never expected to see the interview again, but once it was posted on TikTok on June 11, it quickly went viral and her face was everywhere on social media.
If you're curious about the reason, just check out her response to the question: “You have to give them that ‘hawk tuah' and spit on that thing, you understand?”
She has allegedly sold thousands of dollars in merchandise and even performed with country music star Zach Bryan during a concert.

During an interview with Brianna LaPaglia on Plan Bri Uncut, Welch mentioned that the person who makes her hats was offered $600 to get her to sell a jar of her spit.
Welch added, “That is repulsive. That is absolutely vile, isn't it?”
It didn't take long for people to respond to the request. A TikToker commented, “I would be spitting in a lot of jars.”
Another person chimed in, saying, “I'd be wealthy. Each hawk feather in a jar costs 600 dollars!”
Another person said, “Disgusting? Just go for it! In this economy, any money is good money.”
Another person recommended: “He could have easily spat on the jar without even asking her, because how would they be able to tell if it wasn't her saliva.”
And a final wrote: “So are you $600 richer or not ?”Play
Welch mentioned that she briefly considered if she should do it – it's $600 after all – but in the end, she chose not to.
Welch mentioned that even though she is called the ‘Hawk Tuah girl', she doesn't actually want that to define her.
Welch made up his mind: “I'm not into that. I don't want to be associated with it.”
