Nearly two decades on from the film's release, The Covenant star Gyllenhaal reflected on what it was like filming raunchy scenes with Aniston.

After almost twenty years since the movie hit the screens, Gyllenhaal, the star of The Covenant, recently reminisced about the of shooting those steamy scenes with Aniston.

Gyllenhaal said it was tough, but not entirely. It was a combination of both.

Chuckling at the term ‘protrusion', Gyllenhaal remarked: “Indeed, I pronounced it exactly like that.”

He proceeded to label all romantic scenes in movies as ‘uncomfortable' due to the presence of up to 50 people in the room while filming.

He mentioned, “That doesn't excite me.” “Usually, it feels strangely robotic.”

Gyllenhaal also referred to these scenes as a ‘dance' that is carefully planned for the camera.

Despite the awkwardness, I'm certain there are more embarrassing scenes to shoot.

Gyllenhaal has been fortunate enough to share intimate scenes with not only Aniston but also Anne Hathaway in movies like Love and Other Drugs and Brokeback Mountain.

Gyllenhaal mentioned that filming their 2010 romance was much more comfortable due to their sex scenes in the BAFTA award-winning movie, Brokeback Mountain.
