Jennifer Lawrence regrets not listening to Adele's warning about a movie role that didn't do well.

Jennifer Lawrence recently admitted that she feels remorseful about her decision to in a movie back in 2016. This regret came after the renowned singer Adele cautioned her that the would not achieve success.

The romantic comedy set in space tells the tale of Aurora, portrayed by Lawrence, and Jim, portrayed by Chris Pratt, who embark on a journey to ‘Homestead II', only to awaken prematurely with 90 years remaining on their trip, while the other passengers are still asleep.

The passengers received a low 30 percent rating on , and Lawrence admitted she should have listened to the singer of ‘Hello'.

The film made $300 million , but it cost $110 million to produce.

Jen expressed her surprise at the fans' disappointment, saying, “I , ‘Oh no, you all came because of me, and I'm here because of you. But who thought this movie was good?'”

Adele warned me against it! She said, “I think space movies are the new vampire movies.” I should have taken her advice.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Jennifer Lawrence discussed the movies that caused her to take a break from the limelight, including Passengers. She admitted that she felt she wasn't delivering the level of quality she should have and believed that people had grown tired of seeing her. Furthermore, she confessed that she had also become tired of herself.

I reached a stage where I couldn't do anything correctly anymore. Even if I walked on a red carpet, people would ask, “Why didn't she run?”

I believe I spent most of my life trying to please others. When I worked, it made me feel like no one could be upset with me: ‘I agreed, so we're going ahead. No one's upset.'

I started to feel that there came a when my mere presence no longer satisfied others. This made me realize that work or a successful career cannot truly bring inner peace.

Six years later, Lawrence took on the lead role in the Apple Original film Causeway. The movie depicts the journey of Lynsey (portrayed by Lawrence), a soldier serving in Afghanistan, who experiences a brain injury when her vehicle is destroyed by a bomb.

Lynsey comes back to her house in New Orleans and finds it difficult to adapt after her .

The film premiered in November 2023 and is available for streaming on Apple TV+.
