The actor took a step back in 2019
Jennifer Lawrence, a renowned actor at the pinnacle of her career, recently revealed the reasons behind her choice to step away from acting temporarily, only to make a grand and daring comeback to the silver screen.
Lawrence has been constantly active for the past 15 years or so, without any signs of slowing down.
At 33 years old, the actress started her acting career as a teenager in Monk. She gained fame from her roles in X-Men: First Class and The Hunger Games.
She has also starred in popular movies like Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle, and Passengers, alongside well-known actors. However, despite her busy schedule, she did take a break from acting for a while.
After the release of Dark Phoenix in 2019, Lawrence took a break. A few years later, she talked to Vanity Fair about her choice.

At that time, she admitted, “I wasn't producing the level of quality that I should have. I believe everyone had grown tired of me. I had grown tired of myself too.”
I reached a stage where I felt like I couldn't do anything correctly. If I walked on a red carpet, people would ask, ‘Why didn't she sprint?'
Lawrence proceeded to describe her experience of constantly trying to please others throughout her life. She expressed, “By working, I believed that nobody would be upset with me. I would say yes and get things done, ensuring that nobody would be angry.”
And suddenly, it seemed as if I had reached a stage where my mere presence no longer brought joy to others.
That really made me realize that work or your career won't necessarily bring inner peace.

After taking a deserved break, Lawrence proceeded to launch “Don't Look Up” on Netflix, along with her bold creation titled “No Hard Feelings.”
The comedy film, which came out in 2023, centers around Lawrence's character, a woman facing financial difficulties. She gets a unique chance to earn money by dating a wealthy couple's 19-year-old son.
Lawrence's character faces a challenging task as she discovers that the teenager is introverted and has had difficulties with dating before. The story unfolds into a hilarious comedy where she attempts to help the young man overcome his shyness.
The actress is completely naked in one scene of the movie, showing that she didn't hold back in her comeback to the screen!
