Lidl launches rival Coca-Cola Christmas truck with full list of UK locations and dates

Lidl made the announcement just days after Coca-Cola announced the return of its own truck

Holidays are coming, holidays are coming, holidays are coming… you're singing it now, right?

The Coca-Cola Christmas ad is like the official sign that the holiday season is here. This year, Coca-Cola is bringing back its famous truck tour, but guess what? They have some competition!

Lidl is stepping up with its own big red Christmas cola truck, and they've shared all the places and dates it will be visiting in the UK.

Just when we the Aldi and M&S caterpillar cake rivalry was the biggest thing, this new cola truck showdown is really stealing the spotlight!

Lidl is hitting the road with its own Freeway cola truck, visiting nine cities starting next week.

At each location, the supermarket will out more than 2,000 gift boxes, tasty samples, and other goodies.

If you stop by, you can also share your Christmas wish, and Lidl might just make some of them come true. But remember to keep your wishes realistic—no asking for a Tesla or a fancy new !

Joanna Gomer, the Marketing Director at Lidl GB, mentioned, “It's really important for us to give back to the communities we serve, and our new Freeway truck lets us connect with them this year.

“By traveling to nine different places, we'll be using our big truck to distribute gift boxes, share festive food, and fulfill wishes that can make people happy.

“Keep an out for the Freeway truck on its journey, and most importantly, come join the fun!”

  • Dundee – 14 November
  • Harrogate – 16 November
  • Hull – 17 November
  • Nottingham – 21 November
  • Wolverhampton – 23 November
  • Wrexham – 24 November
  • Luton – 28 November
  • Bournemouth – 30 November
  • Southampton – 1 December

Coca-Cola has just announced their Christmas Truck Tour, which is all about sharing holiday cheer and helping FareShare, the biggest charity in the country that fights food waste and hunger.

For every person who comes to the event, a meal will be donated in their name. The hopes to give away enough meals to equal one million through this charity during the Christmas season.
