The authorities apprehended him in the Sag Harbor region of the Hamptons.

Justin Timberlake was arrested in the early hours of Tuesday morning after reportedly having dinner and drinks with friends at a hotel. The chief of Sag Harbor police stated that he was unable to drive in the correct lane and ran a stop sign. It was reported that his eyes were bloodshot and he appeared intoxicated.

The officer had absolutely no idea about his identity.

Page Six reported that the young Sag Harbor officer who stopped Justin Timberlake didn't know who he was. Timberlake apparently whispered, “This will ruin the tour,” when he was arrested.

He has several dates of his tour across the US this week and throughout the next months.

He has a scheduled tour date on the same day as his court appearance.

Justin Timberlake is set to go to court on July 26th after being charged with a crime. However, on that same day, he is also supposed to perform a concert in Krakow. Tough break for his fans in Poland.

According to court papers, he reeked of alcohol.

The Sag Harbor court documents state that the person had a strong smell of alcohol on their breath, they couldn't focus properly, their speech was slow, they had trouble walking steadily, and they didn't perform well on the sobriety tests.

Timberlake claims he consumed a single martini.
