Ariana Grande Speaks Out on Nickelodeon Past Amid Sexualization Allegations

Ariana Grande has shared her thoughts on her time working on Nickelodeon.

Ariana Grande addressed the situation after Nickelodeon was accused of sexualizing her during her childhood.

Grande played Valentine on Nickelodeon's Victorious and Sam & Cat. However, a clip from one of the shows resurfaced, making many people feel uneasy.

At that , Grande, who was 16 years old, spoke directly to the camera in several videos.

In a particular part, Grande uttered a unique sentence that no one has ever said before. The sentence was about getting your uvula stuck between a hamster's toes.

Grande showed where the uvula is by touching the back of her throat with her finger.

Additional videos show her attempting to extract juice from a potato, placing her toes in her mouth, and reclining on her back while pouring on her chest.

Numerous viewers expressed their over the videos, arguing that Grande's actions were objectifying her.

One wrote: “This always makes me nauseous, imagine ‘directing' a teenager to do that stuff as a grown .”

Another posted: “This is absolutely disgusting. As an adult watching this right now you can tell EXACTLY what they were doing.”

Grande recently discussed her show experiences during an interview on the Podcrushed .

She reminisced about her days as a young , expressing how passionate they were about pursuing this career and how fulfilling it was for them.

“I think we had some very special memories, and we feel so privileged to have been able to create those roles and be a part of something that was so special for a lot of young kids.”

Grande expressed surprise and regret after seeing old clips online, realizing things happened quickly and some unapproved content made it onto their website without permission. She admitted upset about it.

Grande added that kids working on sets should have guaranteed access to therapists, and their parents should be allowed to stay with them always.

She expressed her belief that in order for children to engage in activities, the environment should be made safer. Additionally, she suggested the presence of therapists.

“I think parents should allowed to be wherever they want to be, and I think not only on kids' sets.”
