He always made it a point to go to his son Christopher's football games and jujitsu tournaments. In an interview, the actor mentioned, “I'm there. I'm a very present father, and I would never do it any other way. I feel lucky to have the chance to do so many different things while still being a father first.”

He often shares photos of his son on Instagram. Recently, Dean took his son to Princeton, his old school, to show him where he came from.

Christopher Cain also has two half-siblings from his mom. Elijah and Isabelle are twins who love spending time with their big brother and often visit the Cain home.
