Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum appears to have requested a divorce from her spouse through social networking platforms.
The daughter of Dubai's ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, shared a direct message on Instagram aimed at her husband, Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum.
Sheikha Mahra, 30, wrote a letter to her husband informing him of their divorce due to his involvement with other companions.
“I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you,” she continued. “Take care. Your ex-wife.”
The engagement of Sheikha Mahra and Sheikh Mana was announced by the Arabian Royal Agency in March of the previous year, as reported by Grazia Magazine.
Sheikh Mana's father subsequently verified the betrothal by composing an official poem to congratulate the couple.
The pair tied the knot in May 2023, following their engagement, and threw an extravagant celebration in Dubai in June 2023.
Ezra Couture, a Dubai-based designer, crafted the white embroidered ballgown worn by the bride on her wedding day.
Sheikha Mahra announced her decision two months following the birth of her daughter with Sheikh Mana.
The pregnancy was initially revealed on October 18, 2023, when she posted an ultrasound picture on Instagram along with the caption, “Just us three.”
Sheikha Mahra marked her 30th birthday in February with a gender reveal party featuring a pink theme, revealing that they were anticipating a baby girl.
She announced the birth of her daughter on May 9 via Instagram with a photo of the baby's tiny hand and the caption, “✨🤍✨.”
She also uploaded a selfie on June 4th, showing her and her daughter snuggled up together, with the words “Just the two of us” written over the image.
