The dog who portrayed Seven in The Walking Dead has passed away, with cast members honoring the show's beloved canine actor.
The dog who played Seven in The Walking Dead has died as co-stars pay tribute to the shows ‘best boy'.
In the show, the Belgian Malinois played the role of Daryl Dixon's companion, named Dog.
AMC announced the sad news on their X account, and paid tribute to the ‘best boy'.
The official Walking Dead also reacted to the news on their social media, writing: “All dogs must go heaven. Rest in Peace, Seven.”
Shortly after the announcement, Norman Reedus, known for his role as Daryl, shared multiple pictures of himself with the adorable companion on his Instagram stories, adding captions.: “Gonna miss you Seven.”

He also said the dog was ‘the best TV buddy ever'.
Other actors showed their affection for Seven in the comments, such as Lynn Collins who portrayed Leah, Khary Payton who acted as Ezekiel, and Sabrina Gennarino, who played Tamiel.
Angela Kang, a former runner on the last three seasons of The Walking Dead, posted the news from the show's official account on her Instagram stories and wrote, “Rest in peace Seven,” with a crying face emoji.
In 2018, she mentioned that Reedus had assisted in selecting the main dog actor for the show.
Seven made his debut on the show during the ninth episode of Season 9, and he quickly captured the hearts of fans.
Version 1: Daryl's dog quickly gained a large number of followers, and supporters even started a petition to safeguard the dog as soon as he appeared.

Seven made appearances in more than 25 episodes in total, all the way until the final episode of The Walking Dead that was broadcasted in 2022.
Reedus talked to ComicBook.com in 2018 about working with the dog star. He mentioned a scene they did recently where the dog did something unexpected, making the scene even better.
“He'll probably be running the show. It's great! I love it. He loves me, too.
“I think he's the smartest cast member we got.”
After The Walking Dead concluded in 2022, many spin-off series have been created.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, was released, and has a second season titled The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol coming up.
There is also The Walking Dead: Dead City and The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.
