Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes chose to visit the 2024 Paris Olympics for a romantic experience. The couple, known for their infrequent public appearances together, was spotted in the stands at Bercy Arena in Paris on Sunday, August 4, and they took the opportunity to wear Olympic attire to demonstrate their support for Team USA.
Ryan, aged 43, wore a green baseball cap with the Olympic rings on it for the event. He combined it with sunglasses and a red flannel shirt over a white t-shirt as he watched the women's gymnastics uneven bars final. Eva, aged 50, the actress, also had on sunglasses and a plain black shirt.
The couple maintained a low-profile at the event, but it was evident that they had their two daughters, Esmeralda and Amada, with them.
Ryan and Eva, who initially crossed paths on the set of their 2012 movie, were spotted at the solo Grand Prix freestyle at the Chateau de Versailles recently. During the event, Ryan was seen in a white Olympic-themed cap while Eva opted for a floppy sun hat.
The Gosling-Mendes family's public appearance together is a rare occurrence, marking the first time they have been seen together in public in years. However, their unwavering support for each other has always been evident through their red carpet appearances, interviews, and social media posts. Eva often expresses her admiration for her partner on Instagram, and most recently, she lauded Ryan for his performances in The Fall Guy and Barbie. When Ryan received a Best Actor nomination at the 2024 Academy Awards for his portrayal of Ken, Eva proudly praised him and defended him against his critics.
“So much hate when he took on this role. So many people trying to shame him for doing it,” Eva captioned a previous Instagram post. “Despite all the #Notmyken ridicule and articles written about him, he created this completely original, hilarious, heartbreaking, now iconic character and took it all the way to Oscars.”
During an interview with Extra at the Los Angeles premiere of The Fall Guy in May, Ryan shared that Eva had become his top acting coach.
“She's also like my acting coach,” the Notebook star gushed. “She has really become the best acting coach I have ever had, it's endless how she helps me.”
