The video has been freaking people out as a doctor backs it up
We all have our own quirky habits and things we get really focused on, even if we don't actually need to do them.
Maybe you're really into keeping your nails perfectly filed or styling your hair just right so it stays in place all day.
Or you might be super particular about plucking your nose hairs and can't stand the idea of even one tiny hair sticking out of your nose.
But it turns out that this habit might not be the best for your health, as a shocking simulation has shown why you shouldn't pluck your nose hairs, leaving many people feeling a bit scared.

A video on a YouTube channel that features some pretty unsettling simulations shows how hairs grow inside the nostrils.
It asks, “Most people just pull out their unwanted nose hairs, but is that really a good idea?”
The quick answer is no, you really shouldn't do that.
The video explains that these hairs serve as a filter, keeping harmful irritants from getting into your nose. If you pluck them out, you remove that filter, which lets bacteria enter your respiratory system.
Some people might think this isn't a big deal, but they're mistaken.
The video warns that in rare situations, bacteria can move from the nose to the brain, leading to serious health issues.

In a past Instagram video, NHS doctor Karan Rajan talked about why you should never pull out your nose hairs.
He mentioned that there are two kinds of nose hairs. The first type is tiny cilia, which help filter mucus and move it to the back of your throat, where it eventually goes to your stomach. The second type is the thicker hairs that you might be tempted to pull out.
Dr. Rajan explained that these thicker hairs help keep big particles from getting into your nose. He warned that if you pluck them out, germs can enter the area around the hair follicle, which could lead to an infection.
The danger triangle can lead to brain infections. This happens because the veins that take blood away from the nose connect with the veins that carry blood from the brain, he explained.
“If germs travel back to the brain, they can cause swelling, which might lead to a brain abscess. Although this is very rare, it can be really serious for people who have weak immune systems. So remember, just trim instead of plucking.”
People who watched the original video said it was not only “fascinating information” but also “scary and traumatic.”
So, there you have it, everyone—trim, don't pluck!
