In Season 4 of The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian had a conflict with her older sister Kourtney Kardashian. However, in Season 5, it seems that Kim Kardashian is now focusing her attention on Khloe Kardashian.
The family starts the season by going to Paris for Fashion Week. Kim, Kris Jenner, Corey Gamble, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner all go, but Kourtney stays home because she is 31.5 weeks pregnant.
Khloe and her momager Kris were hanging out at Scott Disick's place when Kris inquired if Khloe had any intentions of joining them in Paris. However, Khloe seemed uninterested.
Kris says she has to pack for Paris Fashion Week, but Khloe points out that Kim is only staying for 12 hours.
Khloe mentions that she's hesitant to go to Paris because school has started and the routine is boring. She also mentions that being in Paris for only 12 hours doesn't excite her.
Khloe states that she is not like Kim, who can make decisions spontaneously. She emphasizes that she will not change herself and prefers to spend time with her children instead.
Kris is adamant about leaving to pack, which leads Scott to mention that she doesn't pack for herself. Nevertheless, Kris argues that she “organizes” instead.
Later, while Kim, Kris, and Corey are aboard the plane, they recall that Khloe had desired one of the beds. Kim appears visibly irritated by Khloe's absence, mentioning that Khloe has been “difficult to tolerate lately.”
Kim mentions that Khloe won't be joining because she's not in the mood and it's impossible to force someone to have a good time when they're not feeling it.
Khloe stayed behind because she believed Kourtney might require her assistance.
Khloe expresses concern about Kourtney being close to giving birth and worries about being there for the kids in case of an emergency. She acknowledges being an overthinker and feeling a bit crazy. Welcome to her mind.
Kim argues that she should go out and enjoy life. She believes that everything is leading to unhappiness, and she feels bad for wanting to leave. Kim thinks she should just stay at home.
Kim expresses her frustration in a confessional at the end of the episode, sharing her disappointment about Khloe not joining them in Paris.
Kim mentions she came to support Victoria and Kendall, enjoys seeing her mom, but wishes Khloe was there because she tends to stick to a routine and only meets people when doing adult activities.
Kim and Victoria take pictures together, and Kim adds, “I believe Khloe would be happier if she wasn't so strict with her schedule. Unlike me, I'm more flexible,” as the episode ends.
The sneak peek of the upcoming episode also suggests the ongoing conflict. Kris wonders if Kim has discussed this with Khloe, and Kim responds, “No, because she's extremely critical.”
Khloe confesses in a private moment that she is a strict individual, as the preview comes to an end.
