Sally Field’s worst on-screen kiss might be a surprise

I've always admired Sally Field. She's a true legend and an incredibly talented actress. At 76 years old, she has experienced many on-screen romances throughout her career.

Because of this, she has had her share of on-screen kisses too. Recently, she talked about which one was the worst, although she was a bit shy to reveal who her co- was at first.

Sally Field is known as one of the most talented and versatile actresses of her time, and she can look back on a wonderful career in Hollywood. She has captivated us with some memorable roles in many films and TV shows.

For instance, I will always remember her amazing in Steel Magnolias, especially that funeral scene. Sally did a fantastic job showing a woman filled with love, , , and grief.

Of course, she's also well-known for her roles in popular movies and series like Gidget, The Flying Nun, Smokey and the Bandit, Forrest Gump, Mrs. Doubtfire, and Erin Brockovich.

Sally was born into a working-class showbiz family in Pasadena, .

But her childhood was nothing like a fairytale. In her memoirs, Sally shared that her stepfather did some really terrible things to her, and she had a secret abortion when she was 17.

Still, she grew up to be such a lovely and humble person.

As of now, Sally keeps working regularly. She played Janice in the 2020 TV series Dispatches From Elsewhere. In 2022, she stars as Jessie Buss in Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, a popular TV show that shows the professional and personal lives of the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1980s.

So, considering how busy she is, it's not surprising that Sally shows up in interviews every now and then.

On Thursday, Dec. 1, on the show “ What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” the famous star Sally Field decided to share her worst on-screen kiss after a curious fan asked a question.

Field, who is 76, looked around after the question was asked and laughed, saying, “Oh boy. Should I really say names here?”

Cohen, who is 54, encouraged her, saying, “I think you should.”

Field gave in and said, “Okay. This is going to surprise you. Hold on, everyone.”

The Oscar-winning actress revealed that her former boyfriend, the star Burt Reynolds, was the one responsible for the bad kiss.

Cohen quickly asked, “But weren't you two dating at that time?”

Field explained that while they were filming “Smokey and the Bandit,” she had to “look the other way” during the scenes because it was just not something he really did for her.

Cohen responded in surprise, saying, “Isn't that something?”

The actress continued to explain that there was a lot of “drooling” from Reynolds while they were acting together.

The two stars first met in 1977 while they were working on “Smokey and the Bandit,” and they were in a relationship for about five years.

Reynolds, who sadly passed away from cardiac arrest at the age of 82, talked about his time with Field in his memoir But Enough About Me, as reported by the New York Post.

He shared that he regretted how things went between them, wishing he had put in more effort to make their relationship work.

In March, Field told Variety that she had stopped talking to Reynolds during the last 30 years of his for a good reason.

“He was not someone I could be around,” she explained. “He was just not good for me in any way. And he had somehow convinced himself that I was more important to him than he actually thought, but I wasn't. He just wanted what he couldn't have. I just didn't want to deal with that.”

I have always had nothing but admiration and respect for Sally Field's work. Truly outstanding!
