Season three of Bridgerton was full of steamy scenes, with Polin finally getting together, multiple threesomes, and Kate and Anthony seizing every opportunity to be intimate.
Which scenes were successful, and which ones failed? I know the pun was bad. Will the mirror scene be remembered forever? Do we love these scenes as much as we loved the Duke in season one?
Below is a definitive list of the intimate moments in season three of Bridgerton, ranked from least to most impressive.
7. Colin's I-found-myself-travelling threesomes
Colin's body was shown on the camera as he received kisses on both sides. But honestly, his adventures with multiple partners didn't interest me at all. I'm happy that Colin was enjoying himself, but watching it at home was not something I needed.
6. Benedict's threesomes
Once again, I'm really excited for Benedict and his newfound exploration of his sexuality. His experiences were a bit more risqué than Colin's, which added a touch of excitement. However, what really surprised me was how unexpected Benedict's threesomes were. They didn't really connect to the other storylines, so it was like going from the Bridgertons joking about Gregory's love for fruit jellies one minute to a full-on threesome scene the next. I must warn you, it was quite shocking!
5. The final Lady Whistledown reading
In the last episode of season three, there was a really cool romantic scene when Lady Whistledown revealed her identity while reading her last column. Penelope and Colin shared a special moment, and Penelope was finally writing her columns using her real name.
The camera work in this movie was amazing. The part didn't last long, but those red colors were so cool! Pen is married and a famous writer now. It's interesting how women can be so different!
4. The mirror scene
I hate to be the one to say this, but the mirror scene wasn't that great. I absolutely adore Polin's story, and don't get me wrong, I understand how important the scene was for their relationship, but it just wasn't sexy. It was sweet and fulfilled its purpose, but it didn't have that extra spark.
3. The post Lady Whistledown reveal angry hook up
Wow, that steam was intense! Colin was shocked to discover Penelope was Lady Whistledown, but then they were kissing and getting romantic in public. It's so exciting! Colin being married to a famous gossip writer is so attractive, I'm happy he sees that now.
2. The carriage scene
It would be a total crime to not include the famous carriage moment near the top, it was life-changing. When Colin and Penelope finally showed their feelings for each other during that carriage ride, everyone could see the sparks flying between them. And when Colin fixed Pen's dress while Pitbull's music was playing? Pure magic! Art at its finest!
1. Kate and Anthony being totally unbothered
Kate and Anthony are like, the absolute coolest thing to ever happen to Bridgerton, and I will totally stand by that. It's so funny how Anthony can be without even trying, and how he's like, head over heels in love with Kate. It seriously makes the show like, a gazillion times more awesome. And oh my gosh, that scene where they, you know, get intimate right at the beginning of episode one? It's like, the absolute best scene in the whole third season of Bridgerton.
Their whole family was outside! Newton the dog was right at the door! Anthony said, “Whatever is going on out there can't be as important as what's going on in here,” and he was telling the truth.
Bridgerton season three is available on Netflix now.Â
