Rudolf Breuss was an Austrian naturopath who supported alternative methods for treating cancer. He created the “Breuss Total Cancer Treatment,” which is a strict 42-day plan involving only vegetable juice. He believed this could completely cure cancer.
His recipes and research were based on the idea that cancer cells cannot live without solid food, so they would eventually “starve” during fasting.
Breuss said that his alternative treatments helped thousands of people.
He shared his thoughts in a book published in 1979 called “The Breuss Cancer Cure,” which was first written in German but has been translated into many other languages.

Breuss also advocated for his approach to treating leukemia and other so-called “incurable” diseases.
However, his methods and treatments are viewed as pseudoscientific alternative therapies, and there is no clinical or scientific evidence that they can cure cancer.
Even though some people are skeptical, Breuss' book is still popular around the world in alternative health communities, and many individuals say his method really helped them fight the disease.
The Breuss juice recipe includes 550 g of beetroot, 200 g of carrot, 200 g of celery, 3 g of potato, and 2 g of radish, all of which should be washed, peeled, and blended into a smooth drink to be taken daily for 42 days.
Supporters of this regimen say it boosts the immune system, purifies the blood, and provides energy. Most importantly, it's claimed to “starve” cancer cells by cutting off their solid food while still giving the body important nutrients.
Beetroot is packed with antioxidants, Vitamin C, B vitamins, folic acid, and important minerals like potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, and zinc. Its rich red color comes from betacyanin, which is a strong antioxidant.
Some research indicates that substances in beetroot, especially betaine, an amino acid, might have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and possibly anti-cancer benefits.
In addition to helping those with cancer, healthy people can also drink the juice to enhance their overall health and wellness.
Beetroot is known to help the liver and gallbladder work better, improve digestion, and relieve problems such as headaches, joint pain, skin issues, and menstrual cramps. It has a lot of folic acid, which is good for pregnant women.
